I drive about 35 - 40 miles to work each day. The plant is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by cornfields. The snow drifts so bad you had better know how far the telephone poles and mailboxes are from the road so you know if your still on it. I have to gauge the distance between the mailboxes on one side and the poles on the other. Than do the math because the telephone poles are about twice the distance from the road as the mailboxes. The funny part is I work for a plant making heavy duty snow removal equipt., such as salt spreaders and dump bodies.
The road is never cleared when we get off work at midnight. It's also hard to see mailboxes by moonlight. Gets a little hairy at times. At least they keep the employee lot clean.
