It does say towards the end that "snake mites don't usually parasitize rodents or people but may take a meal and move on". Or possibly, the mites may have been in an earlier stage that just may not have been visible to you until now....??

I may just have to order myself a can of PAM as a precaution, since I am still buying live feeders from stores (although I am picky about where I get them from, I suppose that there is always a chance). How long is a can good for before it expires?
