    Just wondering

Hey I was just wondering when you know that youre new snakes are healthy and you can end the quarantine period? What steps do might I need to take? vet check? 30-90 days and some other people even longer is a long time and im not really sure what im supposed to be looking for. All my snakes are from high quality and well known breeders so im assuming they are clean and healthy but I am taking the quarantine procedure just like everyone else.

Are you going to be keeping them together or seperated? You should quarantine them for at least 30 days. If they appear healthy and are eating regularly then I would say they are fine and the quarantine can end. I would do it at least 30 days though.

well my new ones are in seperate tubs but together just because i got them from the same breeder and at the same time. and theres only been a few times that one or two haven't ate but theyve been in shed which is fine. So pretty much just as long as theres no signs of anything and they gain weight at a nice pace then I should be good. Thanks

Me, personally, I'd get a fecal done along with a wellness exam. Take the little one(s) to a qualified herp vet. Then I'd wait 90 days before introducing to your collection. 90 days gives you more than enough time to see if RI or bacterial infections to rear their ugly little heads. If after 90 days your clean, go ahead and house them with the rest of your collection.

Now are you cohabitating two snakes? (Letting them stay in one cage?) If so, I'd personally change that. It can lead to illness, stress, premature breeding, etc. If you use the search function and type in cohabitation there are many debates on it as well as the pros (which aren't many) and cons of it.

Oh no, I'm not putting any snakes in the same cage. I have a rbi sweaterbox rack with dividers to make 15qt tubs and when it's time to upgrade them to 15 then when do I truly know if they are good.

I've spoken to a few breeders who quarantine for sixty days. If after sixty days they show no signs of illness and are eating and gaining weight well, they should be fine.
