Bad greyish scales on my addopted BP
My adopted BP has a few greyish and bad looking perhaps damaged scales on it's back and a few on its head. Is that scale rott? his belly is fine no rusty color, or is this associated with the mite bytes. She was infested with mites when I got her the other day. Also the snake is about to shedd if that has anything to do with it . Any help is greatly appreciated . I'll take pictures tonight

Re: Bad greyish scales on my addopted BP
Do you have any pictures? I know that after a shed, sometimes my BP's will have what looks like dried wrinkly scales on their head, and maybe a few on the dorsal. I as worried that it might be a fungal infection, but they went away with his next shed. If you had a picture, we may be able to help identify them.

Re: Bad greyish scales on my addopted BP
It's not scale rot. It's harmless and can be equated to patches dry skin that we get sometimes. It'll go away with the next shed, although a different little patch of gray scales may pop up somewhere else.
