Different Mouse

We purchased some feeders a week ago and asked for a colored mouse for use as a breeder when it got older. We forgot to specify male or female and when we got home, it was male. We didn't need a male at that time so we put it in its own tub with water and food and its been fine. We did notice it looks different from other mice. Any ideas?




His eyes are bigger than the other mice have and my fiance's mother called him a field mouse.

Definitely not a domesticated mouse. Might possible be a wild mouse that got into their mouse bins just looking for food? Who knows.. I wouldn't feed it to the snakes or use it as a breeder, who knows what parasites it may be carrying.

He is really cute and doesn't run away from you when you open the tub. We have yet to name him but I guess we'll have to if we are keeping him.
