    "Tattoo Goo" is AWESOME! Helps the healing and makes the itch not as annoying! PLUS, it won't dry out the skin. Lots of artists in this area (and I as a user) swear by it. Little more costly than just vaseline (or whatever ) but MUCH better for new tatts.

    Aquaphor is where it's at... Wash with soap, and apply Aquaphor, it will never scab and heal so nicely. Plus it's fun to say.... Aqua... FOOORRRR
