    i think my bp is going to shed

    im not sure but i think he might be starting 2.i went to take him out the other day and he seemed kinda jumpy when i touched him so i left him alone and looked at his eyes.they look kinda cloudy gray color.no pinkness on his belly but he hasnt been active since he ate last wednesday.his next feeding is tuesday but i dont know if i should feed him because im not sure if he is going to shed or not.any suggestions?i read the sticky about shedding process but the eyes on those snakes look a little different than mine

    Sounds like an upcoming shed. You can try to feed him, all snakes are different some will eat when in shed some won't. I have 2 snakes 1 could care less if he's shedding or not and the other just likes to be left alone. If your feeding live just keep an eye on them.

    We offer whether they are in shed or not. Some will eat, some will not, some will eat one shed cycle and not the next. Everyone gets offered once weekly though.

    well i feed him in a seperate box so i dont know if hes just going to strike at me when i take him out maybe ill just push back the feeding until wednesday and see if he shows any really obvious sign of shedding before then.

    i think he is starting to.i went to take him out just now and i noticed his belly had a pinkish color instead of the white and brown down the middle.i picked him up then i just put him back when i seen his belly.i rested my finger against his body and he usally wont flinch but tonite he did i hope thats just because hes shedding.about how often do they shed anyways?

    my BP ate on Sat. and just shed today. He never shows a pink belly, though. I'm not sure if that's normal or not. If yours is about to shed, just make sure the humidity is kept up. Mine sheds about every 6 weeks, but he's still pretty young.
