handled my bp for the first time

i finally did it and i wasnt has nervous as i thought.this is my first snake i had and really the first snake i have handled besides picking him out when i got him.i took the top off and touched him then i waited and he came out of the tank to my hand which was on the outside and he didnt ball up he just kept moving from my hands and to me.i was only about 2 minutes then i put him back but i really wanted to pick him up out of there so i just took him out again for another couple of minutes.it really wasnt to bad but i still need some time to get used to him.i kinda wish i was holding him now lol

Yeah, its addicting isn't it? Consistant gentle handling is good for them, it lets them know that you don't represent a threat or any kind of danger (or food). Mine are both about 8 months old, and are sweet as can be. Just be careful around the head, and not to move your hands or fingers right in front of their face, eventually they will be as used to you picking them up as they are to anything.

I wanna go home and get my snake now too!
Isn't it fun! I like to just sit and watch TV with them.
Its great your enjoying your new friend!
When I picked my guy up for the first time I was so afraid, I had to put a pillow case over my hand, but now I'm not afraid at all. It just took some time fotr me and the snake to settle in! lol
Good Luck with your new buddy!
Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?
