Mouse breeding & orchid cloning closet

I thought I'd post some pics of the wardrobe closet I use to propogate jewel orchids and tropicals for the dart frog tanks, as well as breed mice in, since some of you might like the idea of keeping breeding rodents out of sight and smell. I'm using one of the carbon filters I posted plans for last month. It was $100 at Ikea and the shelves are $20 for 2. I plan on buying 2 more shelves and spacing them better to breed rats and more mice. I currently only have 2 - 0.2 groups with a male who gets moved through them both every other week. There's constant, fresh air flow and the output smells clean. The closet is large enought to fit 3 - 10gal tanks or 4 large critter keepers per shelf. The bottom half isn't currently being used.

Very cool. I adore orchids, one of the few things I was firm about at my wedding was I wanted orchids... I got them

    Very spiff though. Very spiff.

Thanks, I'm really getting into jewel orchids so I've been trading different tropical clones for some lately. I'm trying to get a nice collection so I can offer some babies on my website, once I build it.

Hey I don't see any illegal plants. Just cause it happens to be a perfect setup for such a thing doesn't mean I would do that. Thanks. I'll post more picks once it's at capacity.

But you wouldn't post it up in a public forum. Plus, the HIDs would make it too hot for the rodents.

It's an activated charcoal filter. Fresh air is vented in through 2 - 2" holes on the bottom left, then it's blown out through the filter to kill any odor. It exhausts through a 4" hole with a small vent cover on the outside. Here's the link to the plans for a free standing air purifier using one of these.
