Thanks for the reply, would a heating pad work if i cut out a peice of the wood so it wasn't touching it? Or would that still burn my house down? Cause I don't know where to get any of that flexwatt stuff in Calgary, because I don't have a car.

I don't think my local reptile store has it either and I hate ordering stuff on the internet, but if it's the only answer, I can do it.

Whatever heat source you decide to use you MUST wire it to a thermostat to control the temp. This will help keep your house from burning down. Cutting a space for the pad would be ideal as then the tubs wouldn't rub on it directly...but you can also just cover the pad/flexwatt which will serve the same purpose.
