    Question prey size for my royal

    hi i have a royal python thats it 18inches long and today i fed it a small mouse and it ate that and was still looking for more and also diddnt have no visible bulge in so was wondering if prey was to small am thinking bout going onto rat fluffs wat do you guys recomend or would you say rat pups

    Most BP will look around after being fed even if they are fed the proper size prey this is because they are still in feeding mode (this can last up to several hours)

    Just feed a prey slightly smaller than the girth size (widest part of your BP's body) and you will be fine.

    There is no need for a visible lump.

    How small of a mouse are you feeding? If it is 18 inches then you probably need to start feeding adult mice. Like everyone else says just go with a feeder slightly smaller than the widest part of the snake but I would recommend switching to adult mice.
