Price of taking bp to the vet

So I bought my bp down at school. OU baby! And Im thinking about taking it to a local herp vet to get it checked and probed. Anyone know how much that might cost? I'm a poor college kid, and I know a lot of people don't take their snakes to the vet.... what should I do?

probably different prices by area/clinic but my local herp vet charges $65 for a checkup and sexing, and $30 for the fecal.

yeah a check up at my herp vet is 68 for you first visit and sexing is done for free there. but any tests you want done such as fecal or blood get a bit pricey. i would do the fecal though is like 30 or soo.

If I where you... I'd worry more about school work, And not keep any pets until you are not just a "poor college kid"

haha, naa staying busy is good for ya! Besides whos gonna turn down getting a ball because of college. College doesn't deter people from drinking, which interferes with knowledge absorption.

My vet is $30.00 for a vet visit and $17.00 for a fecal. She doesnt jump up the price because of your pet being an exotic which is awesome.

Have I ever mentioned how much I my vet?

He never charges me an office visit for snakes and rats. He only charges me for medication and tests.

Now dogs and cats, yes, he does charge me for that. But he's this clinic's exotics vet and loves seeing them. If Winston behaves and I get enough baby Winston's from him, I'm going to gift him with a lemon pastel as a thank you for all he's done for me (I know he wants a ball python and he fell in love with Winston).

I bought him at a Petland and they said it was probably a male because they had a male and a female. One was bigger and tended to bit. I picked the smaller one which is really friendly, he/she even lets me pet their head. So far I have assumed it is a male bc they tend to be smaller and in some cases more friendly.
