    Re: full grown ball????

i know mine weighs 3.9kg and nearly 5ft, but she is 13 y.o. But, a friend f mine had her for 6 years, ad i've had her for 7. So, she could probably have reached that size earlier? others might know? My mate fed her medium mice for 6 years... and this clearly isn't enough (he's a good guy, just didn't know, and neither did i until i asked more questions)

    Re: full grown ball????

Here's some crappy pics of me and Harlett (4 yrs) . These have all been posted before though.

Her old set-up (she's in a tub now):

That's a 20gal long, so you get an idea on size.

She likes to lay on my face, I don't know why. She sticks her tongue in my ears and nose and eyes. It tickles like mad. -lol- She's fairly small for her age I think. She wasn't brought up in the best home...

Some of you have some BIG BPs!! My largest are around 2500g. I thought that was big until I was able to hold a friend of mine's 3500g+ girl (topped the scale)! Now THAT'S big!! Lol!!

This is my 5-6 year old female Olive. She is 4.75 ft or so, and 2600 g... or so.
One pic of us dancing, and one of her running away from me. She does that alot.

Nix, many adults female BPs, if fed regularly, can reach adult size (1500 grams) in 3 years. There are always exceptions to the rule . . . picky eaters, over eaters that get fat, etc. I like my females to be in the 2000 - 2600 range for best breeding and that may take 4-5 years.

    Re: full grown ball????

Sounds like weight is more indicative of progress than length? We've been thinking she's a she.... She was no longer than 18" when we got her (Petco) and she has doubled in one year. Not overfeeding.... She gets fed every three to four weeks a small or medium rat. Good tone, fat tail, very mellow.

Just got done getting her a 40 gal set-up.... Never thought of actually buying a weigh. any recommended brands/ locations/websites?
