    New boa

So my uncle got a new job. i inherited his boa that he has had. I'm not a boa expert like jimi, so pending what he tells me it is, i thought id share some pics. sorry i dont have a 99999+ billion dollar camera. just some crappy HP photosmart camera. some quick pics until i get some sunlight tomorrow.

Snakes have blood, feal fear, breathe air, eat food, drink water, reproduce, and they happen to live in a body which is difficult for the average person to understand. One fears what one doesn't understand. ignorance creates fear. The fear of snakes is not cultivated…we are not born with it…children love snakes, just as naturally as they love dogs and cats. don’t be afraid of a reptile’s tongue…the only animal that can hurt you with its tongue is the human being.

Looks like a nice dark Columbian BCI there dude Seems a little skinny, maybe, and is the tip of his tail kinked? Or scarred?

I'm sure they'll both make excellent pets for you

Yeah, a little skinny. he's old and has been keeping snakes for years. but never did research or anything. he had her in a 20 gallon tank, green astro turf junk, a rock dish thats about 4in x 4in. and no hide and 1 rock. i picked her up and was ice cold. plus he said he only feeds her 1 small rat every 3 weeks. when i got her she had shed in there and he said she just molted. i laughed! i was like, she's a spider/snake? anyways, i put her in a bigger tank that i prepared 2 days ago when i got notified. she's warmer now and seems more active. waiting for her to get accustomed to the new home/temps and gonna offer her some food. hopefully get some weight on her and length.
the tail is kinked. birth defect. he told me this cause i noticed it as well and he said she had that when he first got her.
thanks for the comment on Columbian BCI. weird cause she looks like a blackish/light color with no real visible red in the tail.

    thanks

The kinky ones are always the best...

Sorry, I just had to say it!

It looks like she's got a bit of rust color in her tail and in her saddles. Maybe it's the pics. There's a slight possibility she's an anery... but from these pics, I don't think so.
