Seems like pastels are some of the cheapest.

Yep, I think pastels are the cheapest visable morph out there. We just got ours this past month. One was $100, the other $225.

Re: most afordable morph??
I prefer to say most affordable, rather than cheap, as the OP put it.
Pastel is going to be your most affordable morph for the moment, followed closely by spiders. With pastels, you do pay a little more for an animal with nicer colors. I was willing to pay more for my lemon pastel and I know it paid off - he's still bright as an adult.

Affordable is the better word.

Re: most afordable morph??
Between the pastel and bumblebee the pastel is going to be by far the most affordable. To be able to get a bumblebee you have to breed a pastel and a spider together and combo morphs cost way more. If you want a good looking bumblebee expect to pay 10x or more than you would for a pastel.
In the end, we will all die alone

I think an important part in all this is, why are you getting a morph, for most of us it isnt the price tag but the look of the animal... although affordability is a plus. Are you looking to get an inexpensive morph just to say you have a morph or to have a "nicer looking animal" why not get a normal ball with flashy patterns that you like and save the money?? (just my .02)
I personally have always liked the looks of spiders, I would love to someday create a bumblebee so im going to start with a spider and a pastel. I also like normals, Cameron is very special to me... i like her pattern but most of all she caught my eye at first glance and it was over.. i had to have her.

Re: most afordable morph??
I would save my pennies and get a spider. They are a tad pricier than pastels, but this is my opinion: they are one of the coolest looking morphs out there. I like them more than I like some higher-priced snakes..
Other options in the lower-price ranges are mojaves, yellowbellies, and even something that is genetic Reduced or Granite (more normal looking snakes, but with interesting patterns..) Pastels are definately low priced as well. They can be had for the prices of normals if you know where to look!
