Loo-Kistic or Loo-Systic?

Well trying to be a smart @$$ i decided to look up the word leucistic..but i realized it isnt in the dictionary...so i did some more looking to see if it was even a word and I stumbled upon wikipedia

and now I am confused again because I thought it was Loo-Systic myself...but Loo-Cism sounds kinda weird

How do you pronounce Leucistic? I always thought it was with a 'K' sound, but I was watching the tube last night and Mr. Irwin pronounced it with an 'S' sound.

I don't care how you pronounce it, as long as we know what your talking about, you can pronounce it BOB if you like...LOL

Hahaha this reminds me of one time I was in my photography class, and we had a sub so we had to watch a bloody video, and the guy kept saying "worsh" and I was trying so hard not to laugh. HAHA! I love accents! Simply amazing.

That is how i pronounce it. Which is right, i suppose that depends on what part of the country (or world) you are in.

Yes, you're absolutely right. The correct pronunciation is loo-kiss-tic. But, I'm a scientist, so I've been indoctrinated with Sci jargon for decades.

I have seen/heard people use the word and pronounce every vowel...
