    Winter's Arrival - DUW

Winter has arrived, blanketing us in her frosty silence. This is the winter wonderland also known as my backyard. It started snowing late Saturday night and is still going. We have about 6-8inches out there now. enjoy.

Lovely pictures Doris but I'm taking PA right off the places I might want to live in one day LOL. My next major move is south, somewhere I don't ever have to deal with snow in major amounts again!

lol not me anymore, but my goofball ten year old is out there somewhere rolling around in it.

Joanna, I don't blame you one bit. I'm getting a bit tired of dealing with mass amounts of snow too.

Yep sure heard it LOL. So far I think the current "Where Will We Move in 4 Years" List stands at....Texas, Georgia, South Carolina or Arkansas. I'm actually enjoying having years to think about where I'd like to spend the rest of my life.

I will say a picture of a scarlet red Cardinal on a snow covered branch is probably my most favorite winter picture. Do you get those there?

Yes we do, but to capture that red beauty before it flies off is really hard, I've tried. but we do have black-capped chickadees, Titmouse, bluejays, and Large Red-headed woodpeckers. We also have a smaller red-headed woodpecker but I can't think of its true name at the moment. I will post pics when they start coming around.
