I'd be interested to know what people think. Auryn's got a few scales on the top of his head that sort of look like that--he's had one or two on his head like that for awhile. They more look like he has a few scales missing. It's weird. I was having some humidity issues (low %) right before he shed, he had his first bad shed, and there are more on his head afterward. I'm hoping that making sure the humidity stays where it needs to be, now that I've transitioned to a dryer humidity in the air and a bigger water bowl, that they'll go away with his next shed. Here's hopin'!

Kisasa has had little patches of gray scales like that on her head and neck area. They would show up after a shed...and disappear with the next shed. Adam told me it was nothing to worry about. Just little patches of "dry" scales...sort of like how us people can get patches of dry, flaky skin.

Re: take a look at this tail

It actually looks like what I call "tub rub". In my Sterilite tubs, right where the locking latches are, there's a piece of plastic in the lid on each end that hangs down. When my kiddos try to crawl there, and then back up, it scrapes the color off the scales and leaves white areas. It doesn't hurt them, it just drives me nuts because it looks odd.

Thanks for better pix! I think that it's what everyone has said... a scrape or patch of dry scales... at any rate, it looks like it's healing/almost healed? I wouldn't be surprised if it's completely gone in a shed or two! Keep us posted
