Unhappy Involuntary Recall to Active Duty

I just received a letter from the Marine Corp stating that I will be “Involuntary Recalled to Active Duty.” I was called a few months ago to muster in Kansas City to determine if I was eligible for activation and found out I was. Then they said if I was going to be activated that they would let me know in two weeks. Well over a month passed so I figured I would go ahead and start paying on a Pastel PHet. Pied and now they decide to send me the notification.

It says I will report sometime after May 1st and will last 12 months with minimum 7 months OCONUS (Iraq). Oh well crap happens I guess.

I was just curious as that sounded just like one I was supposed to be getting from Tony Hurt of Snake Evolutions. I believe the two are friends.

I can relate to highly inconvenient notice from the military. When my hubby shipped out, we thought we still had several weeks before he was supposed to go...when all of a sudden he gets less than 36 hours notice that he has to leave NOW. Was NOT fun. But...like you...he's called to serve and more than glad to do so.

Thank you for your willingness to serve and all you do for our country and the free world!

    Thank you for your service.
My son just came back to the US from Iraq on his 2nd tour there.
Hopefully you have a boring time over there and return quickly to take up in the reptile world!
