My weird/sad snake dream

I've been very sick lately, and I think the meds are messing with me. I've been taking dayquil/nyquil/dayquil/nyquil etc. Been debating on going to the doctor's. It's been 3 days and I still feel like crud. I'm REALLY dizzy and nauseas (sp?) and I have a cough. Also, I feel like I'm breathing my own mucus. Yeah, so enough about that, here's the dream.

I was over at my cousin's house playing with his two RTB, (which dont exist in real life) and I had Adalae, my ball python who was all grown up in the dream. First his two big guys got lost so I gave my cousin Adalae to watch while I hunted down his two snakes. The first one was really easy to find but the second had burrowed into and under a rocking chair. By the time I was done unwrapping the snake from around the frame, my cousin had lost MY snake. So I took off looking for her. Luckily, she was easy to find and we headed home.

When I got home there was a bag of snakes sitting on my door step. Apparently I'd placed an order for a corn snake and the breeder sent me his whole stock and told me to pick what I liked best and mail the rest back (wouldnt that be a GREAT idea, breeders? ) So I put Adalae around my shoulders and walked to the park with her to dig through the bag o' snakes. When I got there, there was a fat man sitting on the bench and he knew about corns. He was like, "Ever think about giving some of those away? You have way too many". I tried to explain I had to send them back but he tricked me into letting him look. His kids held Adalae so that I could help him sort through the morphs and whatnot. I only wanted one out of the whole bag and I made sure he knew. It was a turquoise snake with white and black striping on it. The white and black parts actually looked like they had been beaded on by native americans or something. It was really neat. Anyway, somehow he tricked me out of all the snakes except for 3 ugly brown ones, but by the time I realized what had happened he had hidden the others. So I started fighting with him. It escalated and I started throwing punches. (I was landing them, but y'know how in a dream you can never get any force behind them? Yeah, THAT was going on. So frustrating!!!) So I asked for MY snake back and I was going to go home and get my boyfriend to finish the job. But that's when I saw that his kids had put Adalae in the rat tank to see her eat them, but the reverse happened. So not only did I not get any corn snakes, but they killed my Adalae AND thought it was funny/cool.

So I run home to get Joe (my bf) and ask him to go take care of this guy, but Joe was playing WoW, and yelled at me that he was busy. We argued and in the end I just went to my room crying and Joe kept playing World of Warcraft.

When I woke up I checked on Adalae and then just started crying. Want to hear the ironic part? Joe was on WoW with his headphones on so he couldn't hear me. -lol- btw - he's not such a jerk in real life. He'd take care of an a**hole for me in a heartbeat. I love him.

Wow! That is a doozy. Are all your dreams that detailed and wild? I have dreams like that, too. So I can feel for you.

Are you concerned about your snake (how terrible it would be to lose her!) or ambivalent over wanting more snakes? The sense of helplessness is so deep and sad. It must have been a relief to wake up and know it was a dream. And I totally understand why you cried, too. That's a lot of emotion to deal with.

Sometimes I have crazier dreams when sick or medicated, too, especially if feverish.

I always have crazy dreams. I've had a reoccuring dream ever since I was little where I'm robbed, kidnapped, raped and then murdered. I never have good dreams. I honestly can't remember having a good dream in the last five or six years. It's always nightmares.

I have dreams that are very similar when not drugged..you are not alone. I always have bad dreams about my snakes, cats, or my horse, but my weirdest is a recurring dream (where months after the last one it starts where it left off).

In this dream I find out halfway through that I own a HUGE tank of saltwater fish that I haven't fed or cleaned up in months. When I finally get to the tank (which always takes a long time because someone gets in my way) I find out that most of the fish have been eaten by other fish and that by not feeding or cleaning I have grown some ugly, mutant monster fish that cannot be killed or controlled.

The funny thing is I have never owned a saltwater tank...hahaha

I always wake up and wander around my apartment for a while until I realize that it is the middle of the night and no, I do not own a mutant monster fish!

It's very funny when I write it out, though ahhahaha
