    Rats can fish!!!!!

While reading up on rats I was surprised, and amused, to learn that rats must be kept away from aquariums because they "intuitively" know how to fish!!!! They put their little hands in the water and sway them back and forth and lure fish close enough to catch them.

I knew that my snakes would thin out my rat population but I never expected that my show guppies could end up in my snake!!!

Yep they can fish and enjoy it though it makes for a gawd awful mess in the rat enclosures LOL. I tried mine a year or more back with some tiny feeder fish from the pet store. The rats had a blast but there was water and wet bedding (plus bits of fish) everywhere!

Live crickets are a fun hunt for them. In the summer things like frozen grapes, frozen green peas, frozen cranberries make fun rat "icecream".
