Re: A few more random snakes
That first pic makes me think of a snake muzzle. My poor mind has weird random thoughts that I sometimes HAVE to share.

That's a chocolate hypO? I've never heard of one before. Who first proved them out?

Same question as above....

Not proven out, that I know of--still considered unproven. I have her son, though, he's the spider. I'm curious to see what comes out there, for sure.
She looks different.
There is a mention of these guys on Ralph Davis' site. He wasn't impressed by them until he got some called chocolate hypos at first that led to the burdundy line. I think they are being largely ignored, surprisingly enough.

Re: A few more random snakes
So, you've just named her a chocolate hypo before proving her out then? What indicators make you think she's a hypo? I'm asking, because I have a male similar to her, only much more "hypo-ish" looking.

Re: A few more random snakes
I edited my post to explain a bit more, there.
I didn't name her a chocolate hypo--I bought her as one.
She has no real black on her, it's all shades of brown. The color is somewhat muted. I fully understand why these animals were given this name. Whether or not it is a form of hypomelanism, I am not sure. I think crossing her with the spider might just reveal something, though--hoping it will clarify things.

Re: A few more random snakes
Problem is; even if she's hypo, you'd need a het hypo to breed to her, wouldn't you?

Yes, I have her son, as I said.

Re: A few more random snakes
The spider is her "het" son.
