I'm buying a D40, rather than a D40x. The big difference is the D40 is 6megapixel and d40X is 10.1.

Megapixel really isn't THAT important. I've seen some REALLY good D40 pictures, and that's why i'm going with it.

The regular D40 is cheaper than the D40x, which gives me a little extra cash to spend on a good flash...Lighting is everything
