BP and Corn swiched personalities

Before you kind folks here helped me out I had a very active BP and pretty much an empty cage where my Corn lived. Now that everyone is settled in, I never see my BP unless I take her out from her hide, and my corn snake hardly bothers to hide at all anymore. She's always crusing around and playing. I'm thinking about getting her a swing set!!!

LOL sounds pretty typical. You could walk through our ball python room and hardly know a snake was there but our boas and the milksnake are usually out and about. They have hides just like the ball pythons do but they don't utilize them nearly as much. It may be that because corns, milks, boas and the like are active hunters and ball pythons are ambush hunters or that bp's are the more nocturnal species.

Both snakes sound like normal, well-adjusted critters. BPs will not be constantly roaming their cages. If they are, something could be wrong in the setup; too-warm temperatures.. wrong-sized hides..
So if your snake is relaxing and hiding all of the time seemingly, that sounds like A-1 BP behavior.

Sounds about right!

My corn used to cruise constantly. Eventually he started constantly looking for a way out of the tank. So, I started feeding him more. He's settled down a bit now but he spends very little time in his hide. He's usually out basking - although I don't know if its technically basking since he rarely does it right under his lamp.

BP's, of course, hide most of the time.
