We couldn't wait any longer

We went to the store today to buy feeders (and they were out) and we saw two things we really wanted. We couldn't wait any longer so one we put a deposit down on and the other we brought home. Pictures to come tonight of the one we brought home. I guess you can tell by what board I posted in what exactly we brought home. His (won't know sex till later) name is Chewy.

While I have a break from class (she sent everyone that hasn't turned in the lab out of the room while they go over it) I can at least tell you what we put a deposit down on.

We are still awaiting the approval of my fiance's mother in order to bring him home but in case she says yes, we are having them hold him for us till Saturday. We put a deposit down on a pastel male ball python. Prettiest one in the bunch so we are really crossing our fingers that we can get him.

Chewy is such a cutie-pie. We named him chewy since its Halloween tomorrow and its a time for candy!

Maybe once I get pics up (and there will be tons) you all can tell me what he is. I think hes a pinstripe harliquin (spelling) but I have no clue. I guess we'll see tonight.

I'm a little late on getting pictures up but we had a good discussion about the pastel male with my fiance's mother and she has decided that as long as we can afford it and afford to take car of it both time wise and financially, she doesn't mind us bringing another ball python home. (We had to explain to her that a rack system was actually good for ball pythons and that it wasn't cruel to keep them in the rack. lol)

So yay for bringing both Chewy and the pastel home this week. I go to pick the pastel up tomorrow after class. He will then be quarentined (spelling) for a minimum of 90 days. I'll make sure to get pictures of him.

But back to Chewy. He's settling into his new home right now. I just gave him some CGD and I've actually put his tank inside the tank he will later live in when he gets bigger. Because his tank is small and easily knocked over, my cats are an issue. So I've placed his tank inside the larger for added protection and have secured the top of that tank. I'm uploading pictures now and will put them in another thread.
