    First time breeder question

I have a pair of het albino adults that I purchased from someone. They had them in the same cage so I left them together and am in the middle of building a rack for them. Their is no heat under the cage right now just room temperature. Well today as I walked by the cage I saw what looked like a lock so me in my ifinite wisdom opened the cage and looked and sure enough his hemipenes were everted. If he is breeding the female is she neccesarily ready to go and how should I proceed with this pair should I still try and cool them and breed them again. Thank you for your time.

    Re: First time breeder question

Assuming she is of proper weight and you want them to breed there is no need to cool. Some breeders cool some don't thats up to you. Since they have locked once with not cooling I'd say keep pairing them up and see what happens.

Copulation and cooling are just two of a whole bunch of factors on whether or not you'll get good eggs out of a female.

I recommend searching the forum (the questions you asked above get asked and answered over and over and over) or even better, buy a book. Two good ones are:

What size is the female? Does she have good weight on her?
