    Albino Shed

How do you know when your Albino is about to shed? Does its color just get more dull? My normal is obvious and my albino looks a little lighter so Im assuming its about to shed as well.

It's not as obvious as a normal, but they get dull and the eyes get dull/lighter.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

Mine also gets a VERY red belly, more so than my normals. The first time he shed with me and I saw it, I thought he had burned himself. I freaked out a little

Well, mine is an amelanistic corn snake...but it's still near impossible to tell when he's shedding. So far he's shed twice for me and both were total surprises. Perfect sheds, though.

    Re: Albino Shed

I have a terrible time knowing when mine is going into shed.
I look for him staying curled up tight in his hide ( usually has head peaking out ) he does get a chalky/ashey look and his eyes seem to get a little dull other than that it is hard to tell.
I guess my signal is the change in behavior ie he acts like my others do when they are going into shed. I really never see them.

I go by pink belly. That's the earliest sign I can see.

    Re: Albino Shed

The eyes will turn a very slight lavender color. Thats usually my first indication. When I see that, I'll take the snake out and look at the belly. A pink belly confirms it.
