    Super Dupers

K i dont breed. i would really like to but im not the type to go buy 20 snakes or even 2 without getting some 1st hand experience. i just was wondering, to make a super duper pastel, what type? thats my goal and top of the list bp i want to own. now i know on the NERD site there is jungle/lemon/enchi and such. can someone break down the difference in pastels? i was told its all the same really but if it was then there wouldnt be a name for the different types. also to make a super duper pastel, that would take a 1.1 of pastels? then after they have their babies it will be super pastels? then breed super pastel back together to create super dupers? if so thats a long waiting process for me i plan on getting my 1.1. of pastels very soon. just trying to find out which ones. i was looking at Lemons. would that do? gonna buy them and research and get some experience helping friends with theirs for about 2-3 years before i even attempt. thanks in advance!

Snakes have blood, feal fear, breathe air, eat food, drink water, reproduce, and they happen to live in a body which is difficult for the average person to understand. One fears what one doesn't understand. ignorance creates fear. The fear of snakes is not cultivated…we are not born with it…children love snakes, just as naturally as they love dogs and cats. don’t be afraid of a reptile’s tongue…the only animal that can hurt you with its tongue is the human being.

Pastel's are great if you breed a pair of pastel's you'll have 25% chance of producing a super. Now when it come's to line's get which ever one you like better, I have a graziani line pastel they have a litltle more blushing. Lemon's which I will be adding to the collection next year have more black and are brighter. I don't think you can go wrong with either one, I'm not a fan of the enchi's. Good luck

    Re: Super Dupers

I don't think there's any such thing as a "Super Duper" Pastel... Just "regulars" and "supers."

The Enchi is not a pastel, even though someone called it an "Enchi Pastel" it's really not related to the other pastel lines.

As for the other lines, the different names tend to imply a certain set of characteristics such as tons of blushing, or lots of yellow/black contrast....but the more pastels are produced, the more blending I see of these traits and the less distinction I see between the different lines.

Your best bet (in my opinion) is to hand-select your pair based on the characteristics that YOU favor most in pastels, regardless of what line-name is attached to the animal.

    That may be it.

54 days later the first to pip was a Super Pastel that literally blew my mind. She was very clean and I nicknamed her the Super Duper.

    Re: Super Dupers

i saw a super pastel, but a "super duper" i saw was way way lighter and was so beautiful.

i do believe to that lemon and graziani is the best look for pastels. i really love blushings and brightness. pastels arent THAT expensive as others but they do cost some money so i want quality of course, but something that is appealing.

if you scroll to the bottom of page on this link. there is a small picture of a super. it was like that but lighter and someone told me super duper.
    Super Pastel

jungles look to dark to me. i love the bright yellows with light blushings. think thats so beautiful. plus, i figure it be cool to start off with pastels/super pastels. then introduce some spider BP's

    Re: Super Dupers

I believe those two are the same snake. It is still a super pastel, but he likes to call it a super duper because it is better than any he has seen.

    Re: Super Dupers

It's probably due to it's line, it's not super pastel x super pastel.
All you get when you breed super pastel x super pastel is more super pastels. Which isn't bad, mind you... but you won't get that particular "super duper pastel".
You'd want to check out who has THAT super duper, find out if it's really something different than a regular super pastel genetically, then arrange to get some from that person/line.
My vote goes for the guy just saying he really liked that particular animal, not that he was stating it was a different genetic.
But then, I wasn't there. Just my thoughts on the matter.
