Re: busted another scum scammer
yup i live in boston and there's this 'white van scam' basically my roomates were out and this guy came up to them in a van and asked them if they wanted to buy a home theatre system because he had to get rid of it and he said it was worth $1,000 but he was giving it to them for 200 because he had to get rid of it....so my dumba$$ friends bought it and then they find out it's only worth like 80 bucks lol...and then recently the same two roomates got scammed but i can't really talk about what it was, it's college things lol

Re: busted another scum scammer
I know of quite a few instances in the horse world where someone was using another persons photo to sell a horse they didn't even have, a lot of nigerian scammers there. I found a few of my husbands mustang he was selling, people were advertising it as their own.

Re: busted another scum scammer
why would someone even buy something on the street from a white van? wouldn't the somewhat obvious thought be... "this is stolen property from someone's home?"
a good deal is a good deal... but agreeing to take something you believe has been acquired illegally brings the negative karma into YOUR life.
it truly amazes me what people will do (that they know deep down is wrong) all in the name of "saving money".

I agree 100% with you i yelled at them and i told them they got what they deserved and how stupid could they be for buying something from a random person on the street that they knew nothing about.
here is the thing about its
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_van_speakers
This happened last year and a few days ago they came up to my roomate again, and they asked him if he wanted some speakers...needless to say my roomate told them to :cens0r::cens0r: off
