    Crested Gecko ?

I just brought home my baby tonight and little did I know he was in the process of shedding. He wasn't kept in the right conditions so I'm just wondering if he has stuck shed is it vital to get the last off? I know some if shed is left on they have a chance of losing toes but im just not sure about these.

I had no idea they did that. When I picked him he was all white and thought he looked so cool. Got him home and put him in his home and noticed he's more of a cream color and then look in an hour later and hes shed half of the skin to be an even brighter orangeish red color.

    Re: Crested Gecko ?

if he has shed stuck on his toes or tail you need to remove it. this can usually be done easily by dabbing at it with a wet q-tip.

cresteds shed really quickly, so it's easy to miss it if they have a clean shed. you really have to happen to catch them at the right moment to actually see them shed. sometimes a few days before they shed they will lose a little of the stickiness in their toes and the day before you might notice that their color looks duller than usual, but sometimes you won't notice a thing and never know they shed at all.

I caughte him at the right time then cool. It was so weird to watch. I was rearranging my herp area to add him and turned around and less then 20 mins later he was alot brighter and then I left him be and came back to see it still on his toes and such.
