What the heck?? Speaking of customer service..

I contacted a local breeder here today about a Female Ball python. We were going to work out a trade.

I didn't think I would get any more ball pythons but all these cute babies hatching that I saw pics of I couldn't resist.

Anywho... I call, talk to the Dad, he was nice. Talk to his son ( who is probably my age) we talk and talk about snakes, roaches, geckos blah, blah, blah.
I tell him I will stop by this weekend, I would give him a call before hand. He was also going to probe houdini for me.

2 minutes ago I get a call from "PRIVATE CALLER" some girl or woman whatever you want to call her says. WHO IS THIS? In a very demanding voice. I say You called me, who are you? She says her name then demands to know who I am. I don't tell her cause it was a weird call.

THEN I hear it was for the snakes, the add for the snakes. Hang up the phone. The Dad in the background.


Should I go through with this? I don't want this kind of drama. I can't stand people like that. If my husband did that to me, over a phone call I would kick his butt. Except we trust each other lol.

Should I just let it go, and call them back this weekend anyway? OR go elsewhere since I don't know what to expect?

Jealous Much...wow makes you wonder what her hubby did to get her so suspicious.

I would email them back and confront them about it...otherwise I would stay away. Jealous people are nutz these days and you never know what will set her off once you are there.

DEFinitely weird......I'd avoid that like the plague. There are TONS of cute babies to be had elsewhere. And maybe...if they lose a sale because of her silly drama...she'll learn something.

I'd steer clear.. once a jealous person always a jealous person. And you don't need that kind of drama "biting" you somewhere down the road because she's got issues, whether real or just in her head. And I agree with Judy, there are plenty of other cute babies out there without all the drama attached.

OKay yeah, you guys confirmed my gut instinct of NOT making this deal.

Not only this, but what if there were a problem with the animal, or I had to call for some reason. What should I expect.

It was all done over the phone not through email. I will at least give them the courtesy of calling and letting them know I will not be coming... due to the phone call. Then they will know why.

I just thought it was wierd, and you are right, people do, do crazy things now a days.

This just says to me its not the right time. Maybe next season when all those cuties are pipping out of those eggs I will get a female

Yeah definitely avoid it. What if down the road the lady suspects her husband and thinks it was the lady who bought our snake. She could look you up and all sorts of things. Best to steer clear. I know some bad horror stories of jealous spouses.

Yeah I don't want her going all Senior Psychopath on me.

I am so glad that I don't have to deal with that in my relationship. Things like that can make a good relationship go bad very quick.

I don't think that a jealous girlfriend should stop you from buying a snake you want. Maybe call him back and tell him that she made you uncomfortable, and that he needs to keep her under control before she costs him sales. I'm not saying that women should be kept under control by thier man, but this lady obviously has issues that are hurting the breeder's business.
