    We got a shed!

As we were rushing around the house on Friday morning trying to pack up all of our stuff for a weekend trip to NY, I peeked into the rack to check up on Xefaud and Sadis. I had known Sadis was going to shed soon because a few days previous I had taken her out and she was dull. Well on Friday morning, just before we were going to leave, we find a shed on Sadis's side of the tub (they are in a divided tub). It was complete with tail and eyecaps. We were so excited. Now we wait on Xefaud to give us one.

Oh and when I got home I found that Zim had shed. It was the weekend for sheds I guess.

greatest feelings when you know you've done a great job when you get a good complete shed.

Snakes have blood, feal fear, breathe air, eat food, drink water, reproduce, and they happen to live in a body which is difficult for the average person to understand. One fears what one doesn't understand. ignorance creates fear. The fear of snakes is not cultivated…we are not born with it…children love snakes, just as naturally as they love dogs and cats. don’t be afraid of a reptile’s tongue…the only animal that can hurt you with its tongue is the human being.

Xefaud is on the way with his. He's getting super dull and the color difference between him and Sadis is very obvious. I can't wait for him to shed.

I can get pics either tomorrow or Saturday. I love freshly shed snakes as well. They always look so smooth, clean, and bright.

    Re: We got a shed!

I just started taking care of my daughter's snake and he had a perfect shed on Thursday night. I was incredibly excited and proud that I had done everything right! I was gonna mail it to my daughter, but she thought that would be pretty gross.
