not odd. my burmese python skims her water once and a while. but if you look closely she's drinking as she does it for a minute or two. not a big deal. i know her temps are on point too. no mite problem or else you can DEFINETLY see it in a albino. no worrys. but like they have stated if you see your BP soaking.. thats a different story. soaking=mites/humidity problem. if you see your ball soaking for like a day or so then look closely at the husbandry/mites.
