I'm sure lots of people read the Bible, but honestly, how many people are afraid of snakes because of their role in the Bible? Pretty much nobody! People are afraid of snakes because "they're slimy" and "they're gonna kill me" (things like that), not due to their biblical notoriety. P.S. I know a lot about the story of the snake too.
