very agrivated (hallo doesnt look good)
ok, so hallo was a little crested i got from a "breeder" (hes really a store that supposedly in shop breeds) well he is still really little and over all looks like crap. his head is noticably larger than the with of his body, i have been feeding him every other day at least, most of the time trying to hand feed daily. everytime i try to pick him up he opens his mouth at me.. has even tried to bite (they dont hurt) my finger a few times. he takes two licks and wants nothing to do with it after that. i continue to leave the food in there daily replacing it every other day. so i called the shop today and they didnt offer me any help, all they could say is its been over 7dys (8 today) and hes out of guarantee. i can always bring him down and they will look at him but thats it. they asked how high i have his heating lamp and i told him they dont require any additional heating source! our house never gets colder than 69 degrees and even that is only at night. during the day our condo gets as warm as 76-77 during the day. he didnt pay attention to that comment and simply stated they cant live in 69degree weather full time.. grrrr he even told me he didnt want to argue with me about my husbandry that its really really common people have their herps set up wrong (even after i told him i read countless caresheets, and have owned reptiles for years) and the animals die due to their poor husbandry (which totally P me off)
suggestions? i know this isnt typical (him not growing)

Can you post a current pic of him?
I can't remember what you are keeping him in. If he is in anything bigger than a small/medium citter keeper I would get one of those. That way he feels really secure and can easily find food.

Re: very agrivated (hallo doesnt look good)
my camera is down stairs in the truck.. im keeping him in the equivalent of a medium critter keeper turned on its side (tall) i say equivalent cause its a new type thats clear and the air slots are different. when the boys go to bed and i have a chance to go downstairs ill get the camera and take pics of the enclosure and him.
ok, here is a pic of the enclosure (i had one in my pc the day the dragons came home) the enclosure has been kept in my kitchen since we have real night/day out there... the lights stay on in the living room fairly late and come on early in the am. at least in the kitchen its quiet and there is natural light ... oh and the dragons cage doesnt look like that anymore either lol.. our husbandry is much better for them too now..
thats a 10gal next to it for size reference

Re: very agrivated (hallo doesnt look good)
OKay sounds good.
Also Emily may be able to help you out a little more when she see's this.
Remember at his size, his stomach is so small. Two licks of CGD could fill him up. Is he defacating? That will tell you if he is eating. Also make sure his eyes aren't sunken in at all, that will be a sign of dehydration. You will want to make sure his enclosure stays moist.
The gaping mouth, could just be stress or him telling you to back off don't eat me. When Post it was little she did that to me all the time, she still does it occasionally.
You may also want to collect some fresh fecal samples and have them checked a reptile vet for parasites.
Oh and I ment to add, if you have only had him 8 days he is probably still adjusting to his new environment. Some take longer than others. Especially being so young and small. As long as he is eating small bits here and there, and doesn't seem dehydrated he should be fine.

Re: very agrivated (hallo doesnt look good)
I actually havnt noticed any poops/urate in there come to think of it.. i need to take the leaves out and take a good look at them to see if he went on them... i suppose a few licks could fill him up but based on the size of his body i dont think so. hes definatly not going like the dragons are!
i really just need to take pics of him.. i dont think his eyes are sunken at all. im just so concerned with him being so small.. and the guy at bens isnt helping at all!

I think he looks fine. He's probably still adjusting being just a little guy.
