    Arabesque Sunglow question

What pair would I need to purchase in order to produce one? I started looking for a pink snake for my wife and all I found many cornsnakes but then I stumbled on Burkes Reptiles page and saw his Arabesque Sunglow. She and I both fell in love with his snakes. Thank you for any replies.

    Re: Arabesque Sunglow question

An Arabesque het for albino female and a normal sunglow male That should do it, yup yup.

Arabesque and hypo are both incomplete dominant whereas albino is recessive. You could possibly do it with an Arabesque het albino and a hypo het albino, but the odds would be less on getting the Arabesque sunglow from that.

    Re: Arabesque Sunglow question

Would my odds be even better getting a Arabesque Albino and then a Sunglow....or what about a DH Sunglow......I think what makes a Sunglow is throwing more than anything. For that matter how can you tell a Arabesque from a Normal......Boa morphs are getting me all in a twist

    Re: Arabesque Sunglow question

Best to use a female het because a lot of times female albinos throw stillborns, preemies and/or slugs.

The Arabesque feature is easy to see when compared to a normal.

    Normal:

Saddles are different and have connecting lines down the sides, markings are quite different as well. There are normals with connecting lines, too, but they are nothing like an Arabesque.

A sunglow is the combination of hypo and albino. One incomplete dominant trait, the other recessive.

    Hope that helps.

    Re: Arabesque Sunglow question

I guess I can add to this as well
Arabesque het albino X hypo het albino(dh sunglow)
Albino Arabesque X hypo het albino
Hypo arabesque het albino x het albino
Hypo arabesque het albino x albino
Cheapest route would probably be arabesque het albino x hypo het albino but even then, the odds aren't 100%.

    Re: Arabesque Sunglow question

I think I am going to go the Albino Arabesque X Hypo Het Albino route with the Hypo Het. being the female.....I'll get her soon and next year or so I'll pick up a Albino Arabesque when prices are down a little. Thank you guys for all your help
