The typical rule of thumb is this: if a snake is six feet long, you need a three foot long cage. If it's eight feet long, you need a four foot long cage. Get it?
Most of the big, big tubs you'll find are between three and four feet in length and can house adult male boas easily. But for the females... definitely recommended you get some 4' cages, if not bigger.
NOTE: The above is just a rule of thumb, basic requirements, if you will. I believe it's always better to give a snake some room to stretch out---to full length if possible.
