Over the last 10+ years I've tried just about every combination that you can imagine and they all work to some degree. These days (and for the last few years) I'm rotating males through females enclosures every two days or so. If that doesn't work, I'll try the other way ... or multiple females per male ... or groups of 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 ... basically whatever it takes to stimulate the animals to breed. Change is your friend more than anything else when it comes to breeding ball pythons.
At first I wasn't sure if you were still talking about the ball pythons....
