Combining advice from various persons-- place them together right after the female sheds on a cool autumn evening during a violent thunderstorm. (romantic)

I place the male into the female's bin. I don't use hides in an enclosed rack, but if there were one, I would remove it, simply because my male is a bit on the small side, and my largest female is VERY big, and I don't want him squooshed inside the hide with her on top. lol
If that isn't an issue, then I would leave hides in, if there were room for 2 of them plus the 2 snakes.
Being smaller, my male is living in a smaller bin, so it only makes sense to transfer him into the larger bin rather than vice versa.
