I, too, am working on a B.A. in Biology at the moment. I intend to use it to get into a zookeeper or ranger position, from which I can apply for grants to start a refuge for exotics and abandoned pets. (Hence the B.A. and not a B.S.)

Not many schools have a focus in zoology anymore, let alone herpetology. I believe you would have to go for a general focus and then specialize with an internship or other range of jobs. However, I'm sure there are things out there just perfect for that field, you just have to look.
