Other notable chickens from my youth were Fred and Red, two very evil roosters that loved to chase me around. One a Rhode Island Red and the other another Plymouth Rock.

Then there was the guard turkey.... turkeys are great for chasing away Jehovas Witnesses and pretty much anyone that comes up the drive, the memory of Teddy chasing people back to their car is a humorous one.
I hate to say it, but I'd be one giving you those crazy looks! I am NOT a fan of chickens for anything other than eating. When I was 6 I wandered into my friends chicken coop and they attacked! I have a small scar from where one of the roosters clawwed me. Ever since then the only use I have for them is food. Although I've had a lot of bad experiences with birds in general so I dont have much use for any of them!

Now, turkeys sound pretty cool. Maybe I could go for a turkey!
