Tubs for growing boas and comercial caging for adults.
start in 6 qt. Move up to 12 qt. Then 30 qt until they are about a year old. Then 41 qt or cb-70 tubs then finally a 4' by 2' or bigger if you want. You can skip a few sizes of tubs but it will depend on the actual boa.
Temps, about 90+/- on the hot side and 78-80 is a good range on the cool side. 50% humidity is what I try and keep it at for all of my boas and they do fine.

Would an average size adult male really need a 4' by 2'? What if I just used the biggest tub I could find?

The typical rule of thumb is this: if a snake is six feet long, you need a three foot long cage. If it's eight feet long, you need a four foot long cage. Get it?


Most of the big, big tubs you'll find are between three and four feet in length and can house adult male boas easily. But for the females... definitely recommended you get some 4' cages, if not bigger.


NOTE: The above is just a rule of thumb, basic requirements, if you will. I believe it's always better to give a snake some room to stretch out---to full length if possible.
