Well it may not help, but here's my set up. I've got a 10 gallon with a UTH on one side(hot side) and the lamp on the other side(cool side). The UTH is connected to a Tstat. Occasionaly I'll mist if needed. The day bulb in the lamp heats the cool side to almost 86 if the room temp is up (if this happens I usually adjust the lamp by putting very small stack of tiles between part of the lamp and the tanks top allowing a little bit of heat to escape). Most of my screen is covered with tin foil and a layer of duct tape. Because I live in a place where night temps drop very low at night in the winter I've got insulation covering 3 of the 4 sides. I don't know if your tank is for an adult or a youngin, but let me know if you have any questions about mine.

O... and I would think that if your tstat is set to say 92 for the tubs then you could use it for the tank also by adjusting whatever it is on the surface.
