If not aluminum tape, then what?

If you dont have aluminum tape, and from what I read its $20, then what would you suggest to tape the thermostat probe down to the flexwatt? I saw Bailey (muddoc?) on his site he placed the probe on a piece of tub and appeared to be wrapped in gauze then packaging tape over that. Any suggestions? Would some pieces of packaging tape work and just monitor it?

Hmm, well you could go around your neighborhood asking people for some, or maybe you could use electrical tape.

EDIT: Electrical tape will last for the time being, just make sure you find some aluminum tape.
