    soaking

    do you guys soak your pythons in a tub? I keep reading about people soaking there pythons in a tub? I have a big water bowl is that enough soaking?
    anyways .....

    What kind of pythons do you have?

    Ball Pythons don't need to be soaked unless they've had a bad shed... they don't even need big water bowls like some other species.

    Agreed, as long as your humidity and temps are up to par and the "BP"(unless we are talking a different species) is shedding nicely then you should never have to soak him/her.

    well my carpet likes to go in the water bowl every now and then but his tank has a humid enviorment and he sometimes smells bad soo i wash him in a giant bowl i have and he doesnt mind XD

    If you are talking about Ball Pythons, they do not require a water dish big enough to soak, healthy, mite free BP do not soak.

    The key is to maintain proper humidity level.

    The only time I would ever consider soaking any of my snakes would be in the case of stuck shed issue.

    I don't know about that. Every shed my BP is always in his water bowl. No mites. Humidity around 70-80% for sheds. Everything is fine, eats every week. Growing like crazy.
