    Feeder size

    i know you feed approx girth but what rat feeder would be a good size for a 24" snake. im starting to second guess my estimations for accurate sizes....

    It depends on the girth of the snake? Sorry, but exact length isn't much help--the girth of the snake, and the species, are more important.

    the girth of my mice i feed is right but you can get a rat that matches the girth but is much longer i think they might require longer prey IE prey that weights more.

    The species and girth of the snake is what really matters. In terms of equivalents, a crawler rat is about the equivalent of an adult mouse. They have about the same girth and overall mass.

    ball python.... widest point around 2 to 3 inches.

    A rat pup, I think is what you meant. Eyes opened, not yet weaned, approx. 25g each.
