For the record. It IS a black Amphirion ocellaris sp. and they come from the reefs around the Great Barrier Reef. However, very few are wildcaught these days...this particular little gal was purchased by the store I work for from ORA (Ocean Reefs & Aquariums) and is in fact a captive bred misbar black ocellaris.Originally Posted by Het4Something
I liked her becuase she DOES have a perfect saddle center stripe on each side. If you've seen enough clowns you would definitely know that the body shape is not the same as a saddle back clown which is in the saddleback complex and not the percula complex. True saddleback clowns or often mislabeled sebae clowns only have two stripes.
I took my home tanks down...this little "gal" now resides in a display at the shop... and we do get offers all the time to buy her... I won't do it!
