Well, I was going to post, but you seem to have found and posted my DIY already. I did the CB-70 rack DIY and a couple others, mostly for the people on this site. I hope, even if you don't build that one, that it gave you some insight, or help in some form or fassion in aiding the building of your rack. I too, believe that building a rack is fun, and I have alot of pride in the racks that I built, as well as saving a bit of money that I usually spend on more snakes.

You already have some great DIY, but I'll throw mine into the mix as well. It calls for expanded PVC, but you can cut costs by using 3/8" plywood if you wanted to.

    Re: Homemade rack guides?

Awesome. Buncha DIY's here. Wasn't expecting so many great guides. The one Matt built seems to be the easiest and it's also pretty easy on the wallet.. and it looks rather nice as well.

I called my sisters bf yesterday and asked if he'd like to help me build it. He's one of those Mr fix-its who can build/fix just about anything. He said he would do it, so I'm pretty stoked. Even though I could do it myself, I know he'll improvise and come up with some cool new ideas for it. Now it's just a matter of keeping the cost at or around $100-150. I'm poor.

Anyway, thanks for all the great responses guys.

    Re: Homemade rack guides?

Dusty just made one using my plans: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=53734

They used plywood instead of XPVC; total cost was $75 for 5 shelves not including tubs or heat. $150 would be very easy to do. Good luck!
