Cleaning on feed night?
Last night I cleaned out every tub. Tonight...feed night...I opened up two tubs only to be presented with a nice big ol' poo. The smell of rats was already in the air and my kiddos are ready and waiting. What do you guys typically do when the tub needs cleaning but your snake is in feed mode?

when we used to feed in a separate enclosure, we'd clean quick while they ate. it worked perfectly!

I'm about to go do this actually because it's feed time but her tank is nasty. I just spot clean the bad parts while using some sort of divider between me and the snake (I use a screen top for a fish tank). She wont figure out how to get over it in the two seconds it takes me to grab the poo. Then I feed her and the next morning I do the real cleaning.

I feed them, and several hours later when they are snug in their hides, I gently remove them and clean their tubs and put them back. No more handling than would be required if I fed in a separate enclosure.

Re: Cleaning on feed night?
If you are feeding live I would take the snake out and start in a fresh enclosure. If you are feeding PK then place it away from poop and move her in a couple of hours after feeding. Depends on if you have spare tubs and hides, thats the ticket so everything is bam bam and they are in new clean tubs fast.

Most of ours tend to poop in the back of their tubs so I just continue on with the feeding and when they are finished, like Robin, I either gently remove them and clean up or just work around them to spot clean the mess. Once they are well fed they seem to care less what I'm doing.
