    Morphs and genetic question

    Is there a program or site that dives into morph brakedowns? such as Pastel + Spider = bumblebee? I'm also looking for a site that tells you what to look for. I mean there are the obvious ones like pied, but things like to know a true pastel they have green eyes? or what makes a true yellow belly, things like that
    Ball pythons: 1.2 pastel, 1.0 Black Pastel 1.0 mojave(green) 0.1 spider, 1.0 het pied, 1.0 het clown, 1.1 het albino, 0.1 pos het albino, 1.0 shatter, 0.2 normals, 0.1 reduced pattern, 0.3 dinkers
    Corn snakes: 1.0 blood, 0.1 het blood, 0.1 snow, 0.0.1 reverse okeetee
    Geckos: 2.1.2 crested gecko, 0.0.1 leopard gecko
    Boas: 1.0.1 sand boas
    Other: 1.1 mini australian shepherd, 2.0 cats

    You could check this out not sure if its what your looking for but its a start. Its alittle pricey. I ordered it havent got it yet. http://www.designermorphs.com/ballpythonarchive.htm
    I have a program for cornsnakes where you can put in x + x = ?. I talked to the guy a few years ago to see if he would be doing one for balls. He said he didnt have the time to get all the info on all the morphs together or something like that. So most likely he wouldnt be doing one. Not sure if he has changed his mind yet but heres the link to the site where you can get the corn program. Im sure his email is there somewhere.

    Hope that helped out some.

    My name is Nick and I support this thread. That program sounds pretty neat ama1997. Too bad the guy doesn't have the time to make one for BPs. I'm sure theres a good FREE site out there..

    I agree, this program would be awesome if someone updated it for ball pythons :-D

    Re: Morphs and genetic question

    Hi,

    There are another couple of good sites, they dont cover everything but they do have a heck of a lot of em;

    Ralph Davis proven/unproven/designer page.

    And,of course the one that keeps me dribbling on the keyboard;

    NERD's ball python collection.

    There was also a wiki type page but it seems to ba having technical difficulties at the moment.

    Anyone else got more pages like this?

    7 adult Royals (2.5), 1.0 COS Pastel, 1.0 Enchi, 1.1 Lesser platty Royal python, 1.1 Black pastel Royal python, 0.1 Blue eyed leucistic ( Super lesser), 0.1 Piebald Royal python, 1.0 Sinaloan milk snake 1.0 crested gecko and 1 bad case of ETS. no wife, no surprise.

    Either Kevin McCurley's (NERD) book, The Complete Ball Python or VPI's, Pythons of the World, Vol. 2: Ball Pythons are your best bet for information on what you are searching for. Both are essential books for any serious snake enthusiast's library.

    I second this. You should read up on more than what plus what equals cool colors if you are going to breed. There are serious health issues that could come up and VPI's book touches on some of that.

    Re: Morphs and genetic question

    Sometime in the very near future I'll be adding a mutation calculator to my site for ball pythons. Between now and then I'll be asking permission and collecting photos of every morph and every cross I can find to add to this calculator. It'll be similar to the site below, but with actual photos, and for ball pythons instead of chinchillas. My wife breeds chinchillas, and is working on one of her own too.
